PROJECTS THAT SUPPORT LEARNING

Entrepreneurial projects make meaningful learning by allowing students or students to develop and apply their knowledge in real contexts of learning. They also promote the development of skills, since they are complex learning situations that promote learning transfer.

The teacher who favors entrepreneurial education can also integrate or reinvest the subject content in the project and thus diversify their teaching practices to better meet the needs of its entire group.

Furthermore, entrepreneurial projects aimed at developing entrepreneurial values. These values such as teamwork, resourcefulness, sense of responsibility and autonomy, are useful in all spheres of life and all ages. It is therefore not to train future entrepreneurs, but to educate future citizens "able to undertake."

PROJECT TO PROMOTE MOTIVATION AND ACADEMIC PERSEVERANCE

Entrepreneurial projects require a real commitment on the part of pupils or students. This involvement allows them to own the project and promotes links between them, two factors recognized in many research as crucial to the motivation and student retention.

In addition, the projects will open schools to the community, either by mobilizing businesses, organizations and citizens around the project, or by setting up a product, service or event that is their intended. This link between the community and school settings is recognized as another factor promoting motivation, and by extension, classroom management and student retention.

CONTEST THAT RECOGNIZES THE ENTREPRENEURIAL INITIATIVES

If the project is in itself a rewarding experience, the winners of the competition, both at local, regional or national or international, are getting recognition becomes an added value to the experience of the project. Be the Contest winner provides more visibility for its project in the community, support the sense of pride among the participants and the school staff, in addition to value initiatives. The schools also benefit from this province-wide visibility.
